Diocesan Eucharist with the Blessing of the Oils

You will have received an invitation from the Bishop of Chelmsford, inviting you to attend this service and I would like to add a welcome from the Cathedral.  If you would like to robe and process, it would be helpful to know you are attending as the Cathedral will be very full and a seat will need to be reserved for you. Please click on the link here to complete the form.  You will receive an email during the week of the service letting you know where to meet to robe.  Clergy are asked to wear an alb and white stole or surplice and white stole.  Readers should wear choir dress and LLMs an alb and medal.  If you have any queries or if you subsequently need to cancel, please email

If you do not wish to robe, there is no need to sign up.  Just make your way to the Cathedral for the service.
