Archbishops launch 'Thy Kingdom Come'

To mark the Ascension on 25 May, the Archbishops have announced a new prayer intitiative encouraging people across the world to pray.  It is called 'Thy Kingdom Come'.

They have released a very powerful film telling the story of how a young man was freed from the grip of addiction, due to the power of prayer.

Pledge to Pray

On the subject of encouraging as many people as possible, they are encouraging people to register at   Each time someone signs up their light will appear on their website map. They want to light up the entire globe with the united voices of people calling out Thy Kingdom Come!

The office adds;

It’s really important that people register – during the eleven days of Thy Kingdom Come we will be sending bespoke videos and prayers to those who have signed up – again we want to support as many people as possible on their journeys of prayer.

Now launched;

Let the Light shine social media campaign, asking Christians everywhere to post a photo or video of themselves holding a candle or tealight, and pledging to pray by registering at 


Prayer Journal 

Use it to sketch and scribble your thoughts, prayers and any answers as you go through the eleven days. It’s great for the young people in your life but adults will find it helpful too. You can download the journal straight from their website
