Singing from the top of the tower

In what is fast becoming a tradition at Chelmsford Cathedral, the choir sang for Ascension Day from the top of the Cathedral tower.  Earlier heavy rain had put the opportunity of singing from such a vantage point in doubt, but the rain stopped the skies cleared and the congregation gathered in the churchyard for the first of several services being held today.
